Suggest Medication For Persistent Sore Throat

I have a sore throat, its been about four or five weeks, along with a sore nose, no allergies or fever. No asthma, sometimes it hurts to swallow as well. Should I just keep taking over-the-counter, or could it be something really bad, by the way I am in my late twenties.
