Suggest Medication For Swelling Of Throat And Chocking

Hi my throat has been swollen for a few day and my doctor didn't tell me what was wrong with it. I have trouble swallowing and breathing because of my asthma. Every time I eat something it feels as if it gets caught in my throat and doesn't go down. I tried drinking hot tea but only made it harder for me the breathe so I want to know how I can cure my swollen throat without and hot drink/food involved.
