Suggest Medication To Treat Acidity

good morning Dr. i am a thyroid patient more than 11yrs now i have acidity also since last year, 3 months back i take medicine Rabeprazole, gaviscon and vitamin tablets prescibed by Dr. i take for 2 months it not gone what i have to do to treat it i dont want to take long time medicine,it have so many side effects.so, please guide me right step to cure it.
