Suggest Medicine For Migraine Without Side Effect While Suffering From RND

my daughter has R.N.D. and has been back and forth, last night being the last time, for symptoms of the R.N.D. but also the side affects known from Topamax. She was suffering severe migraines and still has them less frequently. The side affects of the Topamax though, she has almost all of them. Is there another medication that she could take to help with migraines that would not give her all the side affects she is currently suffering from? How are we suppose to know if it is side affects or her R. N. D.?
