Suggest Natural Remedy For Virus Around Stomach And Thighs

My grandson age 2 has what the pediatrician says is a virus that will go away. He has it quite a large amount around his stomach and now on both thighs and going into the diaper area, some signs on face. Is there any resource any natural remedy? I don t have the name but can get it. He has scratched some and was told if they get infected it can cause a a staph infection.
