Suggest Precautionary Measures For Abscesses

I recently got over (hopefully) MRSA after having a series of abscesses and my boyfriend just had three abscesses lanced today. I was wondering if there were any precautions we should take so that we don't keep going back and forth with one of us having it and then the other developing more abscesses?
