Suggest Prognosis Of Pemphigoid

My mother broke her hip and had an op about 5 weeks ago, she went back to her nursing home, and she has developed Pemphigoid, with big blisters all over her body, the doc prescribed steroids, but i would like to know prognosis, as nobody knows, but it is driving her mad with the itching, any ideas how to make her more comfortable
