Suggest Remedies For A Red Patch Caused By Genital Herpes

Hi I have genital herpes and take Famvir daily. If I miss a day then usually I will have a breakout. I accidently missed a pill and had a flare up in early March. While most of it cleared up, I now have this 1"x1" red patch that won't go away (it's been over 2 months now). It gets dry, and scaly at times, other times it looks red like a sunburn. Is there some way I can get rid of this patch??
