Suggest Remedies For Swollen Glands,sore Throat And Weakness

I'm an 18 year old male and I have had swollen glands for about 6 months. They have been gettin gradually more swollen. Recently I have been getting bouts of sickness lasting 2 or 3 days approximatly every 2 weeks. A bout of sickness entails weakness, sweating, feeling cold, sore throat and a pain in the head. I have been to a doctor and been put on antibiotics but they had little or no effect. I think the sickness and the swollen glands are related. What should I do ?
