Suggest Remedy For Blocked Ears And Hearing Gritty Sound While Turning Head

I have blocked ears with no pain, but a gritty sound occurs when I turn my head from side to side. Also, when I am in a restaurant where there is noise, it echos and becomes very difficult to hear. This has been going on for over a week and my hearing seems muffled. Do you have any suggestions re what I can do for this or what it might be?
