Suggest Remedy For Blood Clot In Leg

My nephew was diagnosed with a large Blood Clot in his leg After all the tests were run they told him he has Factor 5. The Dr said his parents should be tested for it also. My father had several problems with blood Clots & so have I. I had 4 in my legs at different times & one in my Lung. Should this be mentioned to the Clinic where I go ? I am 67 yrs old & have Diabetes.
