Suggest Remedy For Bruise On Head

my son fell and hit his face (right cheek) two days ago. He now has a nice bruise and I just noticed that it feels warm to the touch and also has a hard lump under the bruise. I know a hematoma can be normal with a bruise, but since this is on his head, should I be concerned?
