Suggest Remedy For Chronic Cough And Mucus In The Throat

My mother died of complications of esophageal cancer, never smoked or drank. I have a chronic cough, worse at night, lots of mucus or sinus drainage, I have to clear my throat a lot during the day, raspy voice. I have had a history of wine drinking but no longer. I removed feather pillows, etc thinking that may be a problem.
