Suggest Remedy For Cold-sore Looking Red Blotch On The Corner Of Lips

i have cold-sore looking red blotch on the corner of my lips but it has been there for two months now and originally looked like just dry skin. It seems to be taking a slightly more aggressive turn and has 'spread' a little. I don't think it's a cold sore but I am just not sure.
