Suggest Remedy For Cough And Earpain

I live in the US & went to India two weeks ago, & within 1 day of being there, I developed a deep cough, not able to expectorate much, but a heavy clogged feeling when breathing. Came home after a week there, and still the heavy coughing persists. Some relief taking Dayquil. Not sure whether to see Doctor. two weeks before I left I got shingles and an earache, so I don t know if anything is a symptom of something else. Earache is gone.
