Suggest Remedy For Cracked Skin On Fingers

I have severe cracked fingers. I have been treated by a dermatologist for a year. she says it is dermatitis but I have no itching, just severely cracked fingers, she has treated it with prednisone and other steroids and topical oinmtments, but the steroid prednisone worked only while I was on it.. I do not think it is dermatitis.. can you help.
