Suggest Remedy For Dry And Rough Skin On Finger Tips

When I wash my hands, after my fingertips are rough to the touch when I rub them. The skin also cracks, the peeling is slight but it's like tiny patches of crack skin. It doesn't hurt but it feels weird. I just don't know what to make of it. Could tying on my keyboard have cause this?
