Suggest Remedy For High Calcitonin Levels

My dear friend has just had her third surgery for Medullary Thyroid Cancer. Her calcitonin levels remain extremely high. Her physicians are suggesting some type of inhibitor treatment as a next step. Can you tell me the name of this inhibitor? I took an aromatase inhibitor for five years after breast cancer surgery. Is this a similar drug? Thanks for your help!
