Suggest Remedy For Ingrown Toe Nail

Hi,
I have the probelm of Ingrown toenail for more than an year now. I tried the surgery menthod where surgeon used local anesthesia on both toenail(thumb nails) and removed the nail but it did not give a permanent cure and every often when nail grows I am advised for the same.I have been taking great care of toe's like cutting nails or etc available but still no use. Please suggest if we have any permanent cure for this.
