Suggest Remedy For Itching And Burning Sensation In Vaginal Area

I got a Brazilian wax about two weeks ago and now there is barely stubble (very short hair) and my vagina is really itchy and it burns a lot- especially to the touch. it is also a little red. is this because the hair is growing back in? why is it doing this? is there anything I can do to make it stop?
