Suggest Remedy For Itchy Rashes On Ear

Hello, For the past week I have a rash on both ear lopes and behind the ear. It itchies like crazy, feels a little warm and hurts when I touch them. I recieved new earrings for xmas but I am not sure if this started a day or two before wearing the earings or if it is caused by the earrings. I have been applying hydrocortisone for 4 days and taking Benhydal for the last 2 nights but no relief. Please help. I have no other symptoms
