Suggest Remedy For Itchy Rashes

I fell and there was tearing in the arm muscle connected to the elbow. after the black and blueing of the inner forearm went away suddenly there seems to be an itchy rash in the same area that was balck and blue. Is this normal and what treatment should I apply to clear this mildly itchy rash??
