Suggest Remedy For Itchy Scalp

Dear Doctor, I am Sneha, 25 yr old i have a very itchy scalp, initially i thought it was dandruff which was aggravating and causing the itchy scalp but of late i have observed that on the borders of my forehead i have this layer of dead skin appearing which is very itchy n when i scratch it off my hairline it comes off as a scales n after few days the hair growth on that area seems to reduce n now because of that i have realized my forehead looks bigger as the hair line is pushed behind because of hair fall in on the borders of my forehead. kindly advice what it is and what medication should i have. please provide me with a solution as it is bothering me.
