Suggest Remedy For Itchy Tick Bite And Swollen Lymph Nodes

Hi, I was recently bitten by a tick in Western Australia which I removed myself... After about 3 weeks of mild itchiness & noticed that my lymph nodes are significantly swollenI went to the doctor & he dug around & pulled something out of the bite area which he could not identify. The area is more itchy now than before.... Is this normal & what cream,lotion should I get to help?
