Hi,I am Diwashish Biswas (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In early April I was involved in a low-sexual activity with a man. I developed Knee pain alone on the right side of my knee possibly 3 weeks after this encounter and it went away on its own few days later and shortly after my left knee had the exact same pain but this one lasted only for a day. Now the pain on my right knee is back and is still present until today.
The pain is at its worst when I'm waking up then it gets better throughout the day. But is still present. I have a hard time going up and down the stairs but its still bearable.
I'm not trying to scare myself out but I know one of the ARS symptoms of HIV is joint pain but I have heard ARS symptoms don't come one at a time. Should I be concerned? is this related at all or could it be a different diagnosis all together?
P.S. I did go hiking in that period with some friends. I don't workout or jog. I thought for a moment this could be related to my hiking trip but the pain started ONE WEEK after my hiking trip.
