Suggest Remedy For Large Itchy Welt Like Rashes On Skin

I have large welt like rashes that itch VERY mch and I have been to see a doctor about them but they say it is from stress and it is hives. isn't there anything besides benadryl that can work? also... they itch so much that sometimes... i even acquire sores from itching so much. i just can't help it!
