Suggest Remedy For Mild Hypothyroidism

Hi Sir, I would like seek your advice as I have suffered with mild hypothyroidism (6.43) earlier, and my doctor has advised me to take Eltroxin 50 mg . Should I take this medicine as I am little afraid of possible side effects. Even, I came to know through internet, that you will have to take that medicine for the whole life.
