Suggest Remedy For Mucus Discharge In Menstrual Cycle

I started my menstrual cycle today. I seem to be having one every other month but since I am 49 and have been told I am perimenipausal this does not surprise me. Although today the color and consistancy has changed it seems to be a light orange in color and mucus seems to be present. Also the flow is extremely light. Should I be concerned?
