Suggest Remedy For Numbness In Fingers And Pain On Shoulder

I have gone to an orthopedic for pain on the top of my shoulder, in and around my elbow. My doctor diagnosed it as carpal tunnel. About a month or so before I went to the ortho doctor I had been taking Flagyl. I read the paper that comes with the prescription and it said that it can cause numbness in fingers. Is it possible that flagyl could have caused the numbness in my thumb and index finger?
