Suggest Remedy For Pain After A Deep Cut On The Finger

Hi, I m a chef and I ve cut the tip of my finger fairly deeply, taking out a good chunk of the top. The pain is severe and throbbing, it feels tights and flairs up as soon as its touched even so slightly. Is there anything I can do to curb the pain/throbbing?
