Suggest Remedy For Pain And Soreness In Throat And Chest

I had an event where i had pain (scale 8) right in the middle of my chest and going to the end of my throat it was horrible and finally was able to take a tums and it eased off, Now I am still having an issue with my throat being sore and some pain still in chest when I eat. what could have caused this?
