Suggest Remedy For Pain Around Ears

I got hit in the ear with a hockey puck a couple days ago and the swelling has gone down considerably. However the pain has gotten worse, but not in the ear canal or ear drum. I have a crazy bruise just before the entrance to my ear canal. What kind of things can I do to remedy this?Thanks!
