Suggest Remedy For Pain Behind Ears

Hi I Have been wearing glasses for several years, and I ve noticed that sometimes I get a sharp pain behind my ears; usually when laughing or smiling, to such an extent that I have to take the glasses off. It feels kind of like the muscles behind my ears are tired or something. I don t believe the problem is with the frame. Is this normal? What could be causing it?
