Suggest Remedy For Pain Below Rib Cage

I have a pain on my right side below my rib cage (right about the height of my belly button). It was nagging at me during the 2nd day of my cycle for about 8 months and then last month it hurt so bad I could barely breathe. They did an ultrasound and found nothing. The past month it has hurt every day and will be a jabbing pain a few times a day. Any ideas?
