Suggest Remedy For Pain In Chest Area

My sister hugged me hard last Tuesday and my chest/rib/sternum? popped. We felt and heard it. Went to my ortho dr next morning and he took x-ray and said no fracture and left it at that. Since that time the pain has worsened each day. Should I be concerned?
