Suggest Remedy For Pain In Navel Area After Vomiting

I think I may have experienced a hernia near my bellybutton while I was sick and throwing up a few months ago. It felt as though something pushed through something else inside my abdomen while I was dry heaving pretty violently. I was bent over, throwing up, felt the sensation described above, stood up and was sore, but seem to be fine. I don't feel any bulges or have any problems digesting food and such...
Is it possible that to experience a hernia that immediately corrects itself?
