Suggest Remedy For Pain In The Knee

I am experiencing pain in my right knee and it is constantly "giving out" -- feels as though my knee is moving backwards. I have bought a Mueller knee brace to help stabilize the knee. I have had a left knee replacement and the right knee will have to be done at some point in time. I didn't experience this problem with my left knee. Did I hyperextend my knee?
