Suggest Remedy For Persistent Lump On The Forehead Of An Infant

Hi my one month old was hit in the head by my 3year old. Soon after there was a nickel size pump on her head. Her pediatrician said that it would take up to a year to go away, but it looks the same as when it happened 6 months ago. She said that it was a calcium build up on the bone. Is there anything that can be done to help it heal? Will she need surgery to remove it? Thanks
