Suggest Remedy For Persistent Sore Throat

I have had an extremly sore throat for 7 days now. No other symptoms. I have been smoking pot for years with no other side effects. I through away my supply and pipe this morning. I'm tired of it. Could this sore throat be due to that ? Will it get better in a few days ? How long will the side efects of NOT smoking it last ? Please help. I am getting scared !
