Suggest Remedy For Persistent Spotting After Getting Birth Control

I started birth control (the shot) i missed the second shot, ever since i missed it...i got my period & havent been able to get off it! ive been spotting for more than 2 months now & dont know what to do! went to my doctor & she said everything was normal & it probably was a side effect from the shot!
