Suggest Remedy For Recurring Bacterial Vaginosis

Is boric acid S a suppository safe for recurrent BV? Or is acetic acid in the form of a vaginal suppository safer? I am in Germany and was prescribed 1500 mg of metro orally twice, w4 hours apart and 7x 250 vaginal suppository of metro. BV returned on day 7 of suppository after intercourse. Started Vagi-C prescription, but considering boric acid. Opinions?
