Suggest Remedy For Red Bumps On Rim Of Each Ear

my almost 3 yr old (july birthday) developed pimple like red bumps on both rims of each ear. Both ears are red and warm. He has no fever, diarrhea and eating fine. Bumps flare up on and off throughout the day. Itchy at times. Benadryl and/or cortizone not helping. at first appearence took him to dr - almost 2 weeks now - got no answers from dr visit. he thought maybe allergic reaction, eczema or summers ear???? He did have mild double ear infection. Been on antibiotic since. But rash is no better. Second opinion? Please help me understand....
