Suggest Remedy For Scar On The Cheek

Ive had a mark on my cheek for years. It hasn t gotten any bigger or smaller but it doesn t completely heal. It developes a hard scab of sorts and will flake off if I catch it while shaving. It doesn t usually bleed when the scab comes off (occasionally). I ve tried salves and vitamin e but it just softens the area. Soap makes the scab hard or dry. How can I heal it? Im very self conscious about it.
