Suggest Remedy For Scratchiness And Swelling In Throat

i was out of school for a week while i was sick. i had a fever, tonsils were swollen and i was vomitting. it went away for a week now my throat is swollen and its become hard to breathe. the swelling went down and now it is back. i have a scratchy throat and now the left side of my throat is swelling up now. is there a way to prevent this from happening?
