Suggest Remedy For Severe Constipation Causing Hemmoroids

I previously had constipation on Wednesday, it took me 6 hours to pass a big log stool -- it bled quite a bit, but I do have a small hemmoroid and I thought it was bleeding. It hurts pretty bad to go to the bathroom, I have been using preparation H on it and soaking in a warm bath of Epsom salts. It does not bleed onto my panties, but it does throb quite a bit -- so I sit on an ice pack for awhile. I am only taking water, juice, protein drinks and applesauce to eat. Should I been seen in the ER or can I doctor myself until I see a physician?
