Suggest Remedy For Severe Lymphedema In Knees

My wife (89) has severe lymphedema (girth above knee=33 inches) coupled with knees (walking bone on bone). Orthopedic MD is using hylagen(?) injections. Works only for a day or so. Others, such as Osteo Relief are suggesting infusion of gel into knees.

She is unable to tolerate pain medication of any sort. Your opinion?
