Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In Neck And Shoulder

I kinda pushed myself out of bed this morning and I pulled a muscle in my neck/left shoulder or something. I can't move my neck to the left and even yawning causes a sharp shooting pain throughout the area. I rarely go to the doctor, but I have a flight later today and I know that it is going to be very painful to travel. Would a GP be able to give me a brace or something to impair movement in the area. It is really hurting and I'm not a big complainer... I seriously cannot move the area even the slightest. Thanks.
