Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain Near Ovary

I just had a laparoscopy performed to drain an ovarian cyst at the begining of July 2010. I was in excruciating pain before and still after. I went for a pelvic sonogram on August 4th, 2010 to make sure the cyst was not coming back. In the process of doing the sonogram they said that there was not a lot of blood flow to that ovary. Is it normal to be in excruciating pain?
