Suggest Remedy For Skin Ailments

Hi I got a pretty bad friction burn about 5 months ago which wouldn't stop bleeding for a couple of weeks since it was in an area unavoidably contacted with clothes. The scar is not risen but it is big and unsightly is there any sort of cream that I could apply to it to take away discolouration? It has already faded considerably since the scar formed, however is still much darker than my skin tone. Thanks.
