Suggest Remedy For Small Bruise Caused By Dog Bite

I was bit by friends family dog friday night-it barely got me and no bleeding but a small swollen area on my knee- it did get through the skin I think a tiny bit (it bit me throught my thick jeans, the owner said he just got a notice that the dog was due for shots coming up but should be ok at this point, is this something that should be checked? today there is no sign of a bite except a very small bruise- i am asking only since today I do not feel well otherwise i probably would've forgotten the bite.
